As the blogger ends up saying, "Can you imagine the
furor if there was an insistence that a particular course
be taught by a white?"

On a similar note, imagine the outrage if someone started
White History Month or the United Caucasian College Fund?

Mind you, I'm not saying there's anything that nefarious
about Black History Month or the United Negro College Fund.
It's when you consider how much backlash & outrage would
occur if White History Month, etc., was proposed. The same
could be said of these practices for any group that
intentionally excludes based on race, religion, national
origin or gender.

IMO, you aren't going to end the problems by treating any
group more equally than another, regardless of how well
meaning the intentions may be.
