The same overinvestment in high tech that led to the stock market bust led to a lot of bankruptcies, with their ripple effects. Of course, high tech is the wave of the future, but that does not mean that the way money was being thrown at unproven start- ups was rational.

Fiscally prudent Republicans are addressing current issues, like funding the war of terror and stimulating the economy.

I must not be abreast of the current Administrations plans with regard to unfunded mandates, but I will take your word for it. I think it has gone too far.......
