KT, what's your take on the treasury slide? I heard one guy say it was the worst he'd seen in 20 years (including 1994).

Is it mostly foreign selling? Rotation to stocks (and as we all know by now, rotation is fastest before it all goes down the crapper...)? Fannie having a bad hair day?

Gambling? Only 100% to 200% A Year?

The margin on a future contract on the 30 year bond is $2430

It trades in ticks of 1/32 with each tick worth $31.25 ($1,000 per point)

If you would have sold a single contract on 6/25 the day that the retest of the 6/16 high failed, at 120 (the high of the day was 120 31/32) as of today, with the contract trading below 107 you would have made $13,000.

Not bad for an investment of $2500 for about a month.

Plus it was a very safe trade. If you would have been on the wrong side of that trade you would not have lost nearly that much. You would have been wiped out two or three days into the trade. <gg>
