Eu, Ariana goes conservative or liberal depending upon which type of man is cheating on her at the current time. She would be fun to watch. <G> California has the wealth and the innovation, not to mention the world's best climate. All they need is for my buddies here in Texas to stop ripping them off with White House help and to somehow match income and outgo.

China IS accumulating gold just because it's accumulating other FX instruments and gold is part of them. US prints dollars with such speed that if a tiny portion of it spills into gold, we, gold bugs, are going to be happy.

>>I heard a rumor or 2 that China was accumulating gold and that they were waiting to float the renminbi until they could claim they were a gold-backed currency.<<

Accumulate gold, maybe, but float RMB? don't count on it within the next 5-10 years. I read that the rumor is in 5 years China will revaule RMB up by 27% or so, to 1:5.
