Den Beste's logic may have taken him to some fairly extreme positions, but he does have his logic and he has followed it. He is an engineer, and if you want to change his mind you are going to have to point out the fallacies in his premises or logic. Name-calling won't do it. Similarly, about a year from now, when people start to pay attention to the election, the Democratic candidate is going to have to answer the question "So, what is your solution to the problem of national security?" in a manner satisfactory to the majority of the voters. Criticizing Bush's policies won't do it.
