Sounds like a real plan to me.

Once we get a head count and a firm date we's off.

I'm going to try to find a place where we can all get together and eat dinner. I am going to make sure there is a mic so everyone can get up and introduce themselves.

Personnaly, I think we should try to guess who people are through some sort of question and answer session rather than tell right off the bat.
