Yes...we mobilized the world to go liberate a tiny little kingdom 12 years ago because those mean invaders were taking babies out of incubators and slamming them on the ground. Could have happened anywhere in Africa, we'd have rushed to the defense of the defenseless with equal vigor and righteousness. LOL...clueless?...LOL

12 years ago the Saudis were being threatened as well -- we knew it, they knew it, and they were the source of stability in the region. If the Saudis' oil came under control of Saddam, it would have totally disrupted the the global economy. We did what we needed to to stablize that situation.

In the recent war, oil wasn't a major consideration. The Saudis weren't threatened, and they are the guys with their hands on the oil throttle.

Saddam was a growing cancer, generally causing problems throughout the region. Bush excised it.

Pretty tough to find fault in that.

This is all about politics to you three.

One thing is certain: When the "it's about the oil" accusations begin to fly, you KNOW you're talking to someone who is clueless.

Al, look who's calling others clueless. Bush didn't care enough to visit his troops in the field in Iraq but we are supposed to believe his heart bleeds for the poor Iraqis. And as if it's not bad enough that Ray has bought this compassionate conservative theme hook, line and sinker, he wants us to buy into it as well.
