It is toughest on my dad and his sister. Frankly, death was a blessing for my uncle at this stage, as he had fought cancer for around 10 years before succumbing. That doesn't necessarily make it easier on those left behind, as so many before us have learned. He was a remarkable man who worked tirelessly and selflessly for others all his life. The world was a better place for his having been in it.
