Ten,

re: Even history is being rewritten just to support this conspiracy theory. Everything from what Clinton said about Iraqi WMD (and is STILL saying today) to the so-called wisdom of the "world" is being twisted around to suit those nuts who equate Bush with Hitler.

The real threat that SH posed was as a very anti-Amnerican leader that controlled vast oil reserves, reserves that will be needed in the future. Clinton, as President, had the same interest as Bush, maybe a little less intense because of the timeframe, and because he didn't come from the industry.

9/11 gave Bush the opportunity to play the terrorist card to get SH. Without 9/11, he wouldn't have been able to get it past the public. But all the data we had didn't support the idea of SH as terrorist, while there are quite a few other countries that appear much more involved in terrorism than Iraq.

JF, If he was so rich in WMD, why didn't he use them to defend himself?

You said it yourself. The inspections were "working."

You arguments are becoming slippery like Ray's. One minute you say the inspections were not working and that's why we had to go to war and then the next, they were working and that's why Saddam didn't have WMD to throw at us.

Its too bad we couldn't get Bush under the same spotlight so all of us could watch him fumble but, of course, that's the very reason why he never talks to the WH Press Corp.

Everything else stems from the notion that Bush spent billions of dollars and over a hundred American lives just to get his hands on oil. Even history is being rewritten just to support this conspiracy theory. Everything from what Clinton said about Iraqi WMD (and is STILL saying today) to the so-called wisdom of the "world" is being twisted around to suit those nuts who equate Bush with Hitler.

You all blame conspiracy theories, partisan politics, biases etc on why Bush gets bashed. Did you ever stop and think there's simply a problem with the man himself?
