When the Weekly Standard becomes the gold standard for truth in journalism vis a vis The New York Times, we'll definitely be deep into opinion suppression. These pieces are simply republican spin machine pieces.

When journalism masks itself in some cloak of distance from an administration but then is simply a shill for it, it should hardly be called journalism. Perhaps political propaganda fits better.

This is becoming a pet peeve of mine. I keep hearing about all these tramplings of our rights by John Ashcroft, but nobody seems to be able to point out anything as an example. Just raving rhetoric.
