I saw an interesting piece on PBS last night about the unemployment rate. Basically they said if you count the folks on disability pay, disillusioned unemployed - those who haven't applied for a job in 4 weeks, and those in prison who lost jobs going in or can't get them coming out, the rate would be around 14%. Well over the high's of the early 80s. Nice how the gov't can pad the numbers like that to make it look better...
