First, OBL managed to perform the most successful terrorist attack ever, killing thousands, and attacking US symbols of power. Second, the Taliban refused to turn him over; they became integrated. Third, and probably most important, at that particular moment in history, we were justified in seeking immediate revenge, and for anyone that didn't cooperate, tough sh-t. Are you for an attack on Sudan or North Korea? Canada is rumored to have terrorists within their borders, as are most European countries. Of course Iran and Syria.
