This confirms a previous poster's question to me for confirmation for CIA insisting on handlers present to monitor testimony during 9/11 commission questioning of witnesses. I saw this on CSPAN, the below is summarized from this week's 9/11 report

"-- Interview Policies: The Intelligence Community agencies insisted that agency representatives - usually legal or congressional affairs - be present to monitor all interviews of their personnel - present or former. "
