Really mo, that's a moot point and not worth wasting your energy on. Niger was never mentioned in the SOTU address. What was said was that Iraq had tried to buy uranium in Africa. Niger is about 4% of Africa, so if Saddam wasn't shopping in Niger he wasn't shopping in any of the other 96%? But the anti Bush crowd want's to make it all about Niger.

He had been doing some shopping at sometime. Remember the anti war crowd moaning because all the stored uranium oxide, yellowcake, hadn't been guarded by the 3rd ID? The British press said there was 500 tonnes of the stuff. If Saddam wasn't interested in anything nuclear why would he have 500 tonnes of it.
