The US needs no UN approval to act in its own national interest....compliance with UNSCR 1441 would have obviated the necessity for action if Saddam had complied....he did not....accordingly in the interest of US national security and promoting regional peace and stability (also in US national interest), action was justified and Bush had the backbone to carry out the action.....
