Of course I can and do make many distinctions. Some time back, I decided for my self to leave off flaming attacks on fellow posters. I have many selfish reasons for that, one of them is that the language police show up and the richness of the interaction is lost in trivial quibbling over which words/things are legitimately bad.

I see lots of stuff on this thread that I consider underhanded and despicable. The least of which but most legitimate is flaming another poster with "bad words."

As I mentioned to another poster. I don't expect people to fling popcorn at the opera, but at the 99cent movie theater it adds something to the atmosphere that is satisfying.

I don't expect people to use legitimate "bad words" on the floor of congress but hey, on SI political threads the atmosphere is a gas.

We crossed sabors in the past???
