Extremely "pragmatic" and very forgiving and willing to "let by gones be by gones". I had expected some ill feelings. Maybe it is the nature of such these people, more forward thinking and progressive instead of dwelling in the past. By comparison, look at other societies that hold grudges for so many everlasting generations.

It must have been more difficult for my aunts and uncles because they experienced losses of their uncles, parents, aunts, and cousins from Japanese brutalities. I never experienced it, only told what happened. Besides, I am a cheapskate (thrifty) and buy bargains. Btw, I used two of those Office Max coupons and saved $20. One of my buddies used three of them.

No wonder John Templeton, the father of global investing, had high expectations for China as far back as 15 to 20 years ago.
