RE: the trouble is getting in to verify it....

We have plenty of troops right next to Syria, shouldn't be too much trouble.

I would not be surprised. The head of the recovery project is supposed to brief the relevant Senate committee today, based on documentary evidence primarily, about where we are in the process. I am hoping some solid news emanates from that........

JLA, I heard Bush admit that about 25% of the budget deficit is caused by his tax cuts. Any comment?

I doubt very much any Sadam WMDs exist in Syria or even in Iraq. WMD as defined in the current public mindset. I would happy to be wrong. But all human factors tend to cancel that out as being very likely.

The money and benefits being thrown around to acquire such evidence is just to big to believe that they would no be revealed. The only likely possibility the makes it make sense is that during the war some bombing killed all the folks who really know. There was a report of 150 or so in some meeting during the war.

Such an event or combination of events could have killed all who know except for Sadam. Even the skank boys may not have known but that makes no difference now.

There are very good reasons of sadam to have destroyed all weapons as those that don't exist cannot be found. But as a deterrence against America deciding it only needed 50 thousand and not have to take the time to make certain 150 thousand could fight in such and environment, the belief in the existence of WMD's had to be maintained.

If reports that Iraq Generals were bribed and did not fight are true, Sadam being no dummy could not trust real WMDs would not be betrayed.

The big WMD bluff makes perfect sense to me. Even the trailers could have been part of such of bluff, but with simple modification they also could be WMD.

I suggest all read The Fist of God By Frederick Forsyth. It's fiction but does a wonderful jobs of exploring the facets of intel.
