One of the reasons political debate has deteriorated into nothing more than verbal Punch and Judy show ( and in the house the other day nearly a physical one ) is we have no common language left with which to communicate. We write a 1000 page law describing how an industry must operate and call it DEREGULATION. We write million word treaties describing how commerce must betransacted and call it FREE TRADE. You could fill a book with examples. How can you have a constructive debate on deregulation and free trade with no words to express what we mean? This is a serious serious problem for advocates of self rule.
