JLA, you can't address the deficits in the long term unless you address them now. There are 10,000 boomers reaching 55 every day. They start hitting the SS roles in 2008. If we don't generate a budget surplus by then, there is no hope for the next 20 years. Don't think you can cut the boomers benefits. They are too large a voting block.
