I was looking at a refi @ 4.75 for a 30 year fixed, with 0.5 points. I was holding out for 4.5, which never came. Now this web-based mortgager is quoting 6.125 with 0.5 pts for refi. nationsinterbanc.com BTW, I refi'ed with these guys in February at 5.375, and about a month ago I got a letter from a lawyer who is suing this company for deceptive practices. I personally did not have that much trouble with them. They were an internet firm, and I sort of assumed that there might be a glitch or two going into the transaction. But after it was completed, the only problem that I was able to report was the fact that I never saw the appraisal for our house.
