It is interesting that no one on CNBS gave the opinion that the rise in GDP due to defense spending is not helping the economy but to the contrary increases the national debt and widen the budget deficit.

There is no positive economic effect on defense spending it is actual a drag on the economy.

Lower defense spending due to the fall of communist regimes brought us the prosperity of the 90's ...... and now with increase spending for defense, the real economy will be dragged down.

Some one smart sold substantial amounts of stock into this rally wonder where he will invest the proceeds now.

I also speculate that shorts were killed during the last month and this will start the market slide which is long due

On a interesting note the "Star Reader" in June anticipated a slow 2 year grind in housing prices starting by end of June it seems to me that his prognosis comes true.
