Well, there are pretty much nothing for those who click on nothing they do not think they are experts on. However, already in the 1800s Freud had some explanations on that, firmly built on both anglo-murrican, roman, greek and even egyptian and babylonian stuff. Hmmm, this dilemma goes back to more than 3,000 years before zero, yes?? Btw, it only took me some 4-5 years to figure out the USA system, and CSPAN keeps me going, the house and senate c-span.org

Personally I would confess to at least 500kbps for being connected, and that consensus issue, to the rest of the world.
