Miner’s Glory

He had forged the Shovel himself; then tempered it hard and sharp like a Samurai sword.
The Handle he lathed from petrified oak. The stony earth gave way to him with exhilarating ease.
Down, down, flashing, flailing until gold veins flickered fiercely; far from the long-abandoned Sun.
