Yes. Are you so scared of the Fedayeen that you are willing to spend $100 Billion to protect yourself? How about all the other, more dangerous folks in the world. $200 Billion per? We'll discount the US soldiers that die, for the moment.

Why not get rid of the military altogether?

If you can't use it to defend yourself against another 9/11-styled attack, I don't know what you'd ever use it for. Just get rid of it.

Them? Nothing is impossible, but I would say almost, 99.99999%, impossible. First, a Fedayeen getting in. Second, a Fedayeen getting in with some type (what type?) of WMD, "Pardon me Mr. Hussani, would you mind if I took a look at that 300 lbs of super refined, weapons grade Anthrax, in the metal canister with the explosive charge?" said the customs inspector, with a wry smile.

They don't exactly have to bring it through customs. Its not very hard to sneak across our borders, or to put something in a container bound for a major American harbor. If tons of drugs can be bought in every day and millions of people have crosses the borders illegally I don't know why you think our border security is so good.

re: Literally millions of Mexicans have moved in to the US illegal despite the efforts of our border patrol.

That must be why Mexican terrorist actions are so common.

What's that supposed to mean? No one is talking about Mexican terrorists. I was talking about how loose our border security is even post 9/11.

If the danger fro Fedayeen was the only reason to invade Iraq and eliminating that danger was the only benefit then no. It probably would not be worth $100bil. My point was meerly that your contention that it would be almost impossible for Iraqi WMD to be a threat to the US was not correct. I wasn't, as part of this conversation, arguing that the invasion of Iraq was a good idea (or that it was a bad one), I was just dealing with your specific point.
