I agree the MBS stuff is aggravating the volatility. Europe's vocal move re agencies probably isn't helping either.

Appears to me there's some complacency in traditional income stuff- ie lower rated/higher yield preferred's and some of the AAA/insured stuff.

As this stuff starts making headlines, more bolting for the exit may take place, over shooting 'rational'; as if we have the right info and interpretation to know what that is. That might make a purchase opp, if you subscribe to the theory 'Happy days are here again' could be replaced with further econ malaise circa 2005.

How are you doing?

A Ruderless Ship
Lazily Circling Waters Oceanic
The Captian: Conserving Fuel

For who knows if
Or when
Hidden sea currents will deliver land

Will landfall present Castaway?
Robinson Caruso?
Or Spanish Conquistadors?

Ballast tanks labeled Bonds & Stocks,
Commodities & Real Estate
Flooded alternately provide some directional control?

But what point?
No chart these waters deep aboard
Current location unknown

Storms capable sinking the ship
And rumoured sightings thereof

Time passes;
Will provisions hold?
