well, fwiw a friend of mine actually GOT A JOB at applied today! shocker isn't it. And yes, this friend is a <gasp> American citizen. double shocker. Means applied is paying real money for the person. So maybe there is something on the horizon there we don't know about, they are practicing incredibly conservative booking or their pipelines are full or who knows.

Yes, you're exactly right. All the money that fled the stock market to earn miniscule pre-tax returns is starting to come back. Funny how people won't settle for negative real returns in addition to paying ordinary-income tax rates. Irrational behavior indeed!
