Driving was torture for Edgar. It was all those dreadful signs --learning to stop at the POTS sign, paying way too much in fines for going 52 through town. But, today, he had to turn completely around in his seat before he yielded to the tailgating “ecnalubma.”

Ha! I already did it :) I pulled out everything I've written on this thread since I started posting on it in September '99 and compiled it into a book called "Thirty Eight Forty Two"

Seriously though, I don't think I'd have the time or for that matter the discipline to whittle down this fantastic collection into just 50.

Maybe you should try to get everyone that's contributed to each submit a few of their favorites from among their own work and see what surfaces.
