Do you honestly believe that the invasion of Iraq was a minor event in this world? As soon as the first US soldier set foot in Iraq, alliances shifted, new alliances formed, former enemies became friends, and OBL got a whole bunch of new recruits.

Like I said before, Osama got a whole bunch of new recruits when 9/11 happened. What's the difference? Maybe we should just give him what he wants, and he'll just go away, right?

There's a big difference. The war in Iraq has made it easier for Muslims to support OBL. And I think its a mistake not to care about that issue.
