Wonder why English media does not have any report on DaLai Lama's new comment. Here is Chinese version phoenixtv.com Basically, Dalai has said that he has given up on Tibetan independence. If one day he goes back to Tibet to live, he will give up all kinds of political activities and will not take on any official responsibilities. And he said he will only contribute everything he can for the development of religion, and will help Chinese gov. in case needed in religion matter. He said the major problems facing Tibet is in Tibetan culture and religion, the environmental protection, and other difficulties. He thinks the Tibetan issue should be solved according to the Chinese gov. stand and guidance, through negotiation, and try to find a solution which can be accepted by both sides.
