Yes, it is. The turning point was, I think, an essay published in the New York Review of Books, in which he explains the "reticence" of European dissidents to fully support the peaceniks in the West. In his view, and the view of some of his fellow dissidents, the peaceniks do not care enough about justice, and whitewash the Communist regimes, to some degree, in order to undermine hostility towards such regimes. I think, after that, there was a "cooling" towards him......
