IMO the move in gold today shows a sick overall market and any big move should be down. The $HUI looks like it may spike higher.

This market will have a tough time with the $BKX looking like it does. Stopped out yesterday but short again today on some techs and financials.

mike, I liked your observation
and it is something nobody else has brought up, either.

The recent consolidations and the VIX rise after reaching 20 have many bears starting to drool, but not many have explained the recent moves in gold and/or TNX.

We haven't heard much from you the past few months; stop in more often and tell us what your hedge fund friends are up to now.

I will say on the bull side is BIG down days in gold like today usially preface a BIG up move within 1-2 trading days. Just another stooopit observation.

Clarify please.
Big down day in gold portends a big up day in what?

Spikes down on POG have usually been BUY gold signals when they end, but I think that is not what you are suggesting.

Thoughts please.
