<their constant stream of lies & treachery>

When FL comes back, that'll earn a banning.

Since you accept the totalitarian notion that the Leader embodies the nation, therefore, anyone who doesn't support the President is committing treason. Treachery, to you, is what the Constitution says every citizen has the right to do. And the Founding Fathers all said any robust democracy must have dissent, open and honest debate, with all the facts available so the citizenry can make an informed decision.

Stop trying to shout down the opposition, and silence dissent by smearing them as traitors. If you do, I'll reply: The program you support, is, imo, going to lead to military defeat for the U.S., and therefore it is you who are the traitor.

Eventually you get so frustrated that you shout back at
them, somehow hoping that they will actually hear what you
have been saying all along.

It's not worth the hassle or the rise in your blood pressure. Eliminate from view the ones that do that to you, and converse with the rest. It cuts out about 50% of the thread, you lose nothing of value, and life is much easier.

Well to give the other side their due, Bush never said any of this - all the adminstration was careful never to say in those exact words any of this - but they did go around giving impressions pretty freely, the impression that Saddam was going to give aid to OBL if nothing was done about him. Not provable, but I might add that the administration believed this, and considering Saddam's history, it would have been his style.
