There are many things we as a society do which can't be justified on purely logical grounds but which we do because we have found that they work out best that way.

I don't dispute that marriage is an optimal institution as far as managing the environment of offspring. It does not logically follow, though, that marriage is not also an optimal institution for managing the gay lifestyle.

We don't know because we never tried it.

If we tried it, maybe five hundred years from now someone might post the same thing about that as you just posted about marriage.

If we had tried it and it didn't work, then I would agree with your.

It's just the way either God or evolution made us, whichever you believe in. But either way, that's the way humans are created.

God or evolution created homosexuals, too. Maybe that's part of the plan. I've always wondered it homosexuality wasn't adaptive in the face of population explosion.
