OFF TOPIC opalapril, Re: Reading (Hitchens) these days is like watching a slow motion wreck caused by a drunken driver whose brain cells have become addled. Last night I read a Hitchens piece about Bob Hope. I was astounded at how mean-spirited it was. While I'm no big fan of Bob Hope's ouevre, I found that Hitchens went way over the top to be nasty for no reason at all. I concur with your view. Hitchens is addled and becoming an "adder without a cause" (or a calculator).
