don't get me wrong, I am not knocking your system in any way... especially since I don't even have a system! <gg> I completely agree with this part of your post, I think you are making this too complicated. I have found that when a lot of people focus in on any one indicator, especially a sentiment indicator, that it loses it's effectiveness. Just think of it, it's not that contrarian to follow everyone else who is following and fixated on a contrarian indicator. You are a true contrarian when you use contrarian indicators that most are not fixated on or thinking don't work any longer because of this or that explanation. And usually the explanation sounds really good and even rational and that is why most people stop following the indicator. Since I am generally bullish, and I turned bullish too early, (early 02), I have been hit with this investors intelligence statistic more often than I would like. I dug one of these posts up from last year on my last reply (I'm not going to bother trying to find anymore)... at this point II is just like crying wolf to me, thats all.
