Did you read that "Down Low" story in the NYT Magazine? Fascinating. Nope, sorry. I'm just about finished reading Milt Bearden's book. I suspect you will like it. I've find it mildly interesting; learned some stuff about the CIA's view of things, certainly Bearden's view of things, in the 80s and early 90s. But the book is at least two possibly three books badly patched together. So you get a bit dizzy reading it. But he writes well, as does Risen, his co-author, and he does give you some sense of the insides.
