let the marriages begin While I have gotten past my unease over such marriages, I think there are better ways of effecting equality than with a sledge hammer. I am, for example, sympathetic to the concern over the use of the word, marriage, which has a traditional meaning that is important to people. I think we would be better off taking this opportunity to go back and reinvent what we now call marriage and the laws surrounding it and could come up with something that meets everyone's needs. Of course, that won't happen.
