And who are my adversaries? I'd think it's more like someone walking down the street sees someone sitting in an alley, mumbling to himself. Looking carefully to see if he is OK, he hears some fairly intelligent words. The person is saying, "I hate -----." Fill-in the blank. Trying to converse with this poor soul, you find out he is obsessed with this group of people. Seems that he feels that he is in his present situation because of this group. Continuing to speak with him, one realizes that this person is so unstable in his hate-filled obsession that there is no reason to stay and communicate further. Reaching into one's pocket, it is a blessing to hand him a dollar bill and hope that it won't go to his next purchase of a bottle.

Indeed, some cannot deal with their adversaries. pond scum: "You are arresting me because I'm _______ (fill in the blank)." cop: "No sir, I'm arresting you because you stole the old lady's handbag." Some people like to exploit differences and use them for leverage. It is they who are true racists.
