Actually, I feel no special disgust towards homosexuals, although I do not care for the practices to be portrayed too graphically, nor did I say that I reinforced my sons disgust. What I said was that I never brought the matter up before he heard about it and expressed spontaneous disgust, so that actually, I have mainly had the role of one trying to keep him tolerant on the matter.

I am sorry that even you are misrepresenting me to such a degree. I suppose I should not have entered into the discussion in the first place. By this time, I should know better. I am particularly offended by the reference to EV, when I have expressed some support for civil union, not denounced homosexuals. The thought was clear enough without pretending implications that were not there. Take care........

I don't consider Roget an authority on usage, but rather a mish-mash collection of as many words as can possibly be associated with a word.

According to the Random House Webster's College Dictionary, which is on my shelf becasue it is a dictionary often cited as authority by our State Supreme court, deviant simply means "adj. 1. deviating or departing from the norm; characterized by deviation. n. 2. a person or thing that deviates or departs markedly from the accepted norm." By that definition, homosexual acts are clearly deviant acts, and it is perfectly proper of Neo to use that accurate term.

It goes along with his use of "normalize," which is also perfectly accurate, because homosexual acts are certainly not normal, whatever you think of them physically or morally.

Let's not be afraid of the accurate use of langauge, okay?
