Was Madonna wearing silver jewelry back then?

Not sure what the Material Girl was (or wasn't) wearing, but do remember the Hunt brothers.

when Mr. Hunt was making his purchases back in 1979-80, there were massive silver supplies to draw upon -- and prices still went above $50.00 an ounce.

In the later '70s shortly before the attempted corner, my brother, who was a junior prof at the University of Texas at Dallas, received a call from his Dean. As part of the school's policy to encourage donations from the more wealthy locals, the University had promised a speaker to a wealthy women's club. As the new prof, my brother was "volunteered".

The talk was given in the home of one of the members - a Mrs. Hunt. Toward the end of the talk a man wandered into the back of the room. Mr. Hunt later engaged my brother in conversation. Although my brother's talk didn't involve silver, that was the only topic on Hunt's mind.

Suppose it's just another example of those six degrees of separation.

What have you been up to?

Low profile and "trying to stay out of trouble". Bachin' it, since the better half is visiting relatives until mid-month. Time to fix supper for me and the cats.
