Yes, I think it shows how much mis-placed optimism there was last year about this time. Here we are a year later, and the consensus 12 month target prices now are much lower than they were a year ago.

Last year on 8/3/02, the target price of the Group for the next 12 months was 691 (as shown in the previous post(s)) while the actual price at that time was 344. That means of course that the consensus expectations were for the Group price to rise by 100 percent in the coming year. Actually, the Group price closed at 456 last Friday for a yearly gain of 33 percent - not 100 percent.

This year at this time the 12 month projection is for the Group price to go to 472 - only a 4 percent gain from Friday's close. Much different expectations - at this point I think the estimate(s) are too low for the year.
