Thanks for putting all the disinformation in one post. No connection between Saddam's regime and al Qaida has been established. Thanks for the shameless attempts to make it appear otherwise.

You Need To Understand The Importance Of This statement.

Before the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq in March, the military knew that the Ansar al-Islam group, which has ties to al-Qaeda, was operating in northeastern Iraq, Myers was cited as saying by AFP.

This was discussed at length here well before the invasion. What they fail to translate for those not up to speed, which is probably a huge majority, as well as yourself, is that northeastern Iraq was not controlled by the Regime in Baghdad, but by the Kurds.Saddam had no connection whatsoever to this group , which was destroyed by a Kurd/American joint force such as what operated in Afghanistan.

Therefore, your much sought after connection between Saddam and Al Q is still largely inacurate. The other references are largely speculating the possibilities, and again inaccurately describe Iraq and Al Q as allies. There is no evidence to support this claim, and anyone who has researched the subject will tell that they were more enemies than allies.

But I did like this last line :

He (Bush ) added that he's "confident the truth will come out."

Oh...... the irony of that statement......
