My 2 cents.
Commodities trade seasonally, have waves based on supply/demand...Jay Gallemore has the short warnings on this.

Base metals have historically been precursors of economic rebound. (Agree with you).

Financial troubles: is it in deflation, inflation, staglation? In a deflation, all things are cheaper. And you could expect metals to get cheaper too. Also, major currencies have started a competitive devaluation.

All the above, analysed together, puts me deep in the fog. Have no idea of where the markets are goin to.

China: I use China as a wildcard, not to be neglected.
My second wildcard is the US re-election.
Both for after I came to my foggy conclusion. <ng>

Remains that, I would lessen bearish bias for commodities of which China is heavy importer.
