Do you mean to tell me that you wouldn't be bothered if the people in
line ahead and behind you at the grocery store got their blueberries for a buck
but you had to pay two for yours?

Actually, when we go off island and stop at Safeway, we pay more than regular shoppers who have Safefway cards.

And when I take groups of local kids to swim in the public pool in Anacortes, we have to pay more than local residents pay.

If you don't like my motel example, how about the "kids fly free" promotions? I notice you didn't address those.

If they get their blueberries with food stamps they are not paying as you pay. Farmers occasionally barter for food at the market, and not dollar for dollar. But I get your point. BTW, did I ever mention that the World is not fair?

There are lots of examples of different people getting the same thing for different prices.

Buying cars. Classic example.

Hotels will sometimes dicker for those who know to dicker, or who are good at dickering. And of course there are a large number of different hotel rates. Only dummies pay the rack rate. There are tons of example of a person paying more for blueberries from the same store than another person.

Jewel claims that life ain't fair. But it's life not being fair that's not fair!
