You know, with this story, the Episcopalian bishop story, and the Mel Gibson movie controversy story (front page of the NY Times today) all in the news right now, there seems to be an all out assault on tradition. The secular fundamentalists may finally be having their day. I don't think it'll work in the case of Gibson's movie, though.

I think you're right about the demographic difference in views on gays and gay marriage, just based on my personal interactions.

BTW, did you know that working class people have a more highly developed sense of humor? At least that's what Camille Paglia says...
