My kids didn't. I think they pick that attitude up from the people around them. My daughter didn't come up against any negative attitudes toward homosexuals until she went to school (and it took a few years for it to come up- 4th grade I think) and she was shocked people felt that way. So my experience is different from your experience. Now this was when it was just "Some kids live with two dads, some kids live with two moms, some kids live with one parent, some kids live with a mom and dad....etc"

When the sex stuff came up, I just put everything in terms of male or female partner- so my kids get the implicit message that people of both sexes do this stuff in all sorts of combinations. Do I care what the combinations are? No. I care about safe sex, stability and love.
