Just rambling off memory here but in 1998 I do recall that Intc Bottomed in June well before Cohu bottomed In October.As I recall Amat lead Cohu by about two weeks.

So far this run is leading Cohu by about two weeks also.

In general I've always thought that the second tier stocks yield a higher percentage return.The blue chips give some assurance in that they are more liquid and easier to exit.

Just a preference - to each investor his comfort level is the most important criteria.

That which fosters patience and prevents whiplash is a good thing.
