The US government is secular but that doesn't mean the country is secular.

We were talking about neocons and their effect on the US gov't.

And when discussing a group of people their religious views may be relevant. For that matter the Bible can be used to relate many ideas that are not religious. It is a strong part of western civilization and many of the stories within it are well known. They can be used to illustrate ideas for non-religious people just as fairy tales can illustrate ideas for people who don't believe in witches, rumplestilskin, giant beanstalks and fairy godmothers.

The above is a lot of mumbo jumbo. This is the 21st century in a nation that is not a theocracy. Therefore, I am not interested in biblical references when discussing secular matters.

The above doesn't respond to what I said at all, except to call it mumbo jumbo.

Also I don't accept that your interest dictates what links I use. You'll just about never find me making biblical refrences directly, and links to such will probably be few and far between but I'm not interested in letting the discussion, or allowable links on this thread be dictated by you.
