SB, Logic doesn't seem to be your strong suite. Rationalizing the size of the Department of Death after the end of the Cold War did not go nearly far enough. In fact, I'll posit that the reason we are warring and engaged in seemingly irrational bellicosity across the planet is precisely because the "boys with nasty toys" crowd has not been brought to heel by adult supervision. Any thinking individual can see that the U.S. military budgets are grossly out of whack with the waste of money the rest of the world engages in with military expense. By various measures, the U.S. spends more on our ironically mislabeled "Defense" than the next 15 or 25 nations combined. What we have at the Department of Death is a "self licking ice cream cone" of blatant, patent and latent self dealing that is unparalleled in human history, and seems to be on a mutant course of depravity. pbs.org Read 'em and weep for the future of our Republic.
